Three Legends, One Road

Packed≈1h 8m on foot£66.50pp≈5.5 hrs

Three legends, one road. Head out from Port Ellen along the coast, sea on one side, heathland on the other, for Islay's most iconic peated trio in a single day. First is Laphroaig, the only Scotch whisky ever granted a Royal Warrant, still worn by King Charles III today — a guided walk starting in the historic floor maltings, finishing with a tasting of three core-range drams, glass and lanyard included to take home. Next is Lagavulin for the Classic Distillery Tour, starting with a glass of the 16 Year Old and finishing with a three-dram tasting including a distillery-exclusive pour — keep the glass. Last is Ardbeg, where the Classic Ardbeg Tour takes you from malting through to the stills with a guided tasting of three core-range drams. Three of Islay's heaviest hitters, and by the third you'll have stopped trying to rank them.
